Salut et bienvenue dans ma nouvelle clandestine française.
Comic transgressions have arrived, and the pen and photoshop clasp hands in this short tale through a popular hell. The creatures offer their benign forms across the page, with hints of abstract sexuality and interdimensional companionship. They invite you into their forms and disappear as easily as the chromatic wind. Graphic, yet tasteful and precise, they permit the spectator to dive into their enigma. They are diverse and bold dreams dancing on the pallet of their energies.
I began creating Writ Bodies Ov Titivillus in 2023. I hand drew all the pages on white drawing paper with a mean tactical pen. Once the drawings were completed, I scanned them into photoshop, and played with flat introductions of color, many with a pop art simplicity, and graphic novel intent. The only secrets in this book are the ones brought and deposited by the reader.
This was the last book I wrote in downtown Minneapolis; I left the city as a blank canvas and moved out into the halo to polish the manuscript to a state of blissful satisfaction. Open the covers of this book as if you were getting into any strange bed. They may startle the timid and meek, yet they are more playful than the criminal actors on the nightly news. If they could build a fire from their actions, it would be one of comfort instead of rage. Writ Bodies Ov Titivillus is a seance hovering over the plastic streets on an adventure through the author's backyard and imaginative intent.
Titivillus is the demon patron of illuminated scribes. T gives bold teachable scriveners a kick in the ass over their scriptural deviance. The book is primarily an art novella because the mission was novelty, and why collapse into cliché and dereliction. Yes, this is a book that spoofs on sexual obsession, as any wise comedy should.
The book contains a 3-page introduction by the American poet Jim Leftwich. The book finalizes with the most extensive CV/Bio that the author has ever offered to all the animals, vampires, robots, spirits, monsters, and the rare humanoid who seem to make up his primary fan base.
